multiplying decimals
When you multiply decimals you really just have to multiply the numbers like you normally would . When you have an answer then you have to do an extra step. You have to count how many digest are past the decimal in the problem
Example :
14.25
x3.2
----------
2850
42750
45600
Now I count how many digits are past the problem. There are two digits past the decimal on the first line and one digit past the decimal on the second line. That's a total of 3 digits.
I. My answer 45600 I then start at the end of the number and count over 3 spots and put my decimal in . My final anwser is 45.600
